Located in the beautiful and picturesque Blue Ridge Mountains of northeast Georgia.  North Georgia offers a safe and affordable, yet challenging academic environment with high standards for student achievement. Our renowned Corps of Cadets, comprising about 15% of the total undergraduate population, provides a rich character that is reflected throughout the university. We are committed to personalized education in a supportive, intimate, and caring environment. We   cultivate a community of positive, friendly interpersonal relationships between students, and among students, faculty and staff. As citizens of the community, we model the values we espouse: courage, integrity, loyalty, respect, service, truth and wisdom.

Features academic excellence. We provide strong liberal arts, pre-professional, professional and graduate programs on our main campus and on satellite campuses serving northeast Georgia.

Serves as a leadership institution. We develop and educate citizens who are responsible, informed, and engaged; who respect people, have high ethical standards, continue their intellectual and personal growth; and who provide leadership and service in their community, the state, the nation, and the world. 

Is the Military College of Georgia. One of only six Senior Military Colleges in the nation, we are renowned for commissioning high caliber second lieutenants for the Regular Army, U.S. Army Reserve, and the Georgia Army National Guard. Our Corps of Cadets serves as a laboratory where leadership concepts are put to practical use.

Competes in a variety of men's and women's varsity sports as a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association, and provides opportunities for students to participate in intramural sports.

Offers lifelong integrative learning opportunities through continuing education for our graduates, and residents of northeast Georgia.
