Foundations of Leadership (PSYC 1001)
Foundations of Leadership (PSYC 1001) is a 1.0 credit graded course required in
the core curriculum of Area B for incoming new students, and required for all fall entry students
in the fall semester. You cannot drop this course nor would you want to. All of the incoming
students will be taking this class at once, therefore the class time and structure for Foundations of
Leadership is unique. The class time was arranged to bring all of the students together at one time
and not interrupt your other courses. There are no conflicting events during the class sessions
listed below.
The required text for this course is Exploring Leadership: For College Students that
Want to Make a Difference by Komives, Lucas and McMahon. (gray book with orange lettering)
Please note:
- If you have completed Area B prior to entering North Georgia, you are not required to take this course.
- If you are unsure of your status as a transfer or non-traditional student, please contact your advisor.
- Please do not confuse this course with PSYC 1101, which is an Introduction to Psychology course.
