While You're Away
NGCSU Contacts
- Keep in touch with NGCSU. Advisors, instructors, military personnel at NGCSU
would like to keep in touch with you while you're away from campus. Use the
E-mail Directory to
look up faculty and staff's email addresses.
- Maintain your NGCSU
email account. Accounts typically will remain active up to one year. Each fall semester,
students who are not enrolled will have their email addresses purged. If you will be away during this
semester and would like to maintain your account, please contact Information & Instructional
Technology's Student
Helpdesk to request that your email account remain active.
Transcript Requests
- Plan ahead when requesting transcripts from deployment or training sites. In order for the
Registrar's office to release a transcript (or grades), you must
submit a request that includes your signature or submit a request for a printed transcript via
Banner.
If you have granted an individual power of attorney, he/she may request a transcript on your behalf in
person by completing a transcript request form
and providing official documentation of the power of attorney. Further information regarding transcripts is
available on the Registrar's office site here.
Transient Permission
- Undergraduate students may be interested in continuing their education by taking certain courses
as a transient student while they are away from NGCSU. Permission for transient status is typically
requested up to one year in advance as students make preparations for their continued study. The
transient permission process is outlined on the Registrar's Office
site through the
Banner system.
- Many institutions (and corporations) advertise their academic programs to military personnel.
