Returning to NGCSU
File Reactivation
- Undergraduate students who are away from NGCSU for one semester or more, excluding summer semester, must request that their file
be reactivated in order to return. If a student has been away for less than 2 years,
he/she must submit a Request to
Reactivate Student File form. Also, if he/she plans to commute, a
Commuter Affidavit must be submitted as well.
If a student has been away for 2 years or more, he/she must submit a new
Application for Undergraduate Admission, as well
as a Commuter Affidavit.
No additional application fees are required.
Returning students must submit official transcripts for all work completed during their absence from NGCSU.
Please check the Undergraduate Admissions site for more
information about readmission and deadlines. Specific questions can be emailed to
admissions@ngcsu.edu.
Financial Aid Application
- Students should email the Office of Financial Aid with questions at finaid@ngcsu.edu.
Advisement
- Each student at NGCSU has an assigned academic advisor based on his or her chosen major or area of
study. Students can login to Banner to view
their advisors' names by Viewing Student Information for the term in the Student Records area. Students
who have not chosen a major (open option students) and students in pre-education (with less than 40 hours)
are advised by faculty in the Advisement
Center.
Returning students must meet with their advisors regarding a class schedule for the upcoming term and complete
a permit to register.
Students may look up their advisors' email addresses in the
E-mail Directory.
Registration
- Once a student who's returning from active duty or ADT has reactivated his/her file with Admissions, and
met with his/her advisor to complete the permit to register, he/she may come to the Registrar's office to
register for the upcoming term.
