Undergraduate students who transfer to NGCSU may satisfy certain areas of the NGCSU core curriculum based on work completed at a prior college. All undergraduate students who graduate from a University System of Georgia institution must successfully complete coursework or pass a satisfactory examination on the history of the United States and the history of Georgia, and upon the provisions and principles of the United States Constitution and the Constitution of Georgia. This policy is described more fully in the Undergraduate Bulletin.

Students who would like to take tests to satisfy these requirements should contact the History department regarding the Georgia and United States History requirements and the Political Science department regarding the Georgia and United States Constitution requirements.

Undergraduate students with certain scores may exempt either or both portions of the Regents' test. Official test score reports must be submitted to the Registrar's Office in order for the exemption to occur. A listing of necessary exemption scores is available from the Testing Office as well as in the document below (using Adobe Acrobat Reader).
