Transfers & the Core Curriculum
Undergraduate students who transfer to NGCSU may satisfy certain areas of the NGCSU core
curriculum based on work completed at a prior college. The following guides (in
Adobe Acrobat Reader) will
assist when advising transfer students regarding the core curriculum and additional degree
requirements.
Grade codes or symbols are used on the NGCSU transcript to indicate circumstances
regarding that course. The following Grade Code Notes is a guide (in
Adobe Acrobat Reader)
describing if or how these courses may be used towards a degree from NGCSU.
All undergraduate students who graduate from a University System of Georgia
institution must successfully complete coursework or pass a satisfactory examination
on the history of the United States and the history of Georgia, and upon the
provisions and principles of the United States Constitution and the
Constitution of Georgia. This policy is described more fully in the
Undergraduate
Bulletin.
Undergraduate students with certain scores may exempt either or both portions of
the Regents' test. Official test score reports must be submitted to the Registrar's
Office in order for the exemption to occur. A listing of necessary exemption scores is
available from the Testing Office as well as in the document below (using
Adobe Acrobat Reader).
