Entry-Level DPT Degree at All Three Schools
Consortium Agreement
The Board of Regents of the
University System of Georgia approved the creation
of the Consortium Doctorate of Physical Therapy led
by the Medical College of Georgia with North Georgia
College & State University and Armstrong Atlantic
State University. With approval by the Commission on
Accreditation for Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE),
each of the institutional partners offers all of
the course work leading to the doctoral degree (DPT)
by using their existing faculty, facilities, and
resources, while the Medical College of Georgia acts
as the degree granting authority.
Applicants to the Consortium DPT Program should
apply separately to all institutions they wish to attend. There
is a baseline set of admissions requirements for the
Consortium DPT program. However, individual programs
may include additional prerequisites to these
baseline admissions requirements.
Tuition for the programs are based on the
Medical College of Georgia graduate student rate,
and MCG will register, bill, and disburse financial
aid to all students in the Consortium DPT program.
If accepted in the program, candidates will be
required to submit a completed Medical College of
Georgia Certificate of Immunization.
Irregular admission status (entering a program
without an entrance
test score) is not offered.
