If you are considering North Georgia College & State University for your future educational plans, we strongly recommend that you visit our campus before making a final decision. Our goal is to ensure that you have a pleasant visit filled with meaningful and accurate information.

The campus is always open to visitors who wish to walk around campus on their own,  but to get a clearer idea of college life and the campus culture, we encourage you to schedule the guided tour. Current students lead tours; thus, non-cadet tours are only available whenever classes are in session.  Cadet tours are available year-round.

If you are interested in the Corps of Cadets program (ROTC), we also recommend that you take a look at our military site.  In addition, if you would like to discuss the opportunities that are available by participating in the Corps of Cadets or would like to take a cadet tour, please call the Cadet Recruitment Center at (888) 413-9366.

Special Group Tours

Special group tours are tours for groups of 12-75 high school students. These tours are available specific weekday mornings and allow larger groups to visit our campus and still have the personal attention given to our regular daily tours. Since our student tour guides attend classes during the Spring and Fall semesters, special group tours are only available during the months of February, March, April, October, and November.

Special group tours are available on the following dates on a first-come first-serve basis:

Spring 2008:
As this semester comes to an end, we regret we have no more availability for Special Group Tours. Please consider registering your group for a tour in one of our future semesters.

Fall 2008:
October 7, 9, 21, 23
November 11, 13, 18, 20

Spring 2009:

February 10, 12, 17, 19
March 3, 5, 10, 12
April 7, 9, 14, 16

Due to high demand for special group tours and the limited number of student ambassadors available, we ask that groups be limited to no more than 75 high school students. Please schedule well in advance as these tours take more time to coordinate.

Groups interested in health care professions wishing to have a special lecture and visitation to the Health and Natural Science building must limit their groups to no more than 25 (although groups of 10-12 are preferred).

The Dahlonega Campus

The campus of North Georgia College & State University is located in the former gold-mining town of Dahlonega, which is nestled in the scenic foothills of northeast Georgia's Blue Ridge Mountains. The location of the campus provides a unique combination of the recreational opportunities afforded by the mountain region and the many activities found in the Atlanta area.
