Beginning Fall Semester of 2008, students who intend to reside off campus should refer to North Georgia's residence policy. Applicants for Summer Semester of 2008 must print, complete and mail the Commuter Affidavit if they plan to begin classes and live off campus during the summer semester. All new students will also need to return a completed North Georgia Certificate of Immunization prior to orientation or registration.
Application Fee
A non-refundable fee of $25 is required of all applicants wishing to apply online, including former/returning undergraduate students and those who have made application to the undergraduate program at North Georgia before. Payment of the $25 application fee entitles the applicant to have her/his application materials reviewed and does not apply toward other university fees if the student eventually enrolls. Admission to the institution is not guaranteed by payment of the application fee. Former/returning undergraduate students and those who have previously made application to the undergraduate program at North Georgia should obtain a downloadable application if they do not wish to pay the $25 application fee.
Official Supporting Documents Required
Official transcripts and/or standardized test scores are required of most applicants. For documents to be considered "OFFICIAL," they must be submitted directly to the North Georgia Office of Undergraduate Admissions by the appropriate officials at your high school, testing authority, or college/university. Opened transcripts/test scores and photocopies are not considered "OFFICIAL." SAT and ACT scores recorded on "OFFICIAL" high school and college transcripts are acceptable.
Applicants who have attended a foreign college or university must provide a course-by-course translation of the foreign transcripts prepared by a U.S. based credential evaluation agency, such as Josef Silny or WES. This translation must be submitted directly to the North Georgia Office of Undergraduate Admissions by the credential evaluation agency. A partial listing of credential evaluation agencies that current and former North Georgia students have used is available in the Application Guide for International Students.
Applicants who are U.S. citizens and were born outside the U.S. must submit proof of U.S. citizenship.
Applicants who have been granted permanent U.S. Residency must submit proof of permanent residency.
