The
Master of Science Nursing Family Nurse Practitioner
major, is a 46 semester hour program of study that prepares
experienced registered nurses to qualify for advanced
practice authorized in the state of Georgia and to take
national certification exams as a family nurse practitioner.
The program is a cohort program which starts on a full-time
basis summer semesters only. Application deadline
for summer acceptance is February 28 of each year.
Irregular admission status (beginning classes w/o an
entrance test score) is permissible for this program.
However, because of the highly-competitive nature of the
application process, it is recommended an entrance test
score (either MAT or GRE) be submitted by the application
deadline.

application

hold
a B.S. in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing

have one year
post licensure experience

have a current
Georgia RN license
Individuals seeking
a post-MS certificate are also eligible to attend this
program and should apply to Graduate Admissions as a
post-graduate (non-degree seeking) student. |
