I received my Bachelor of Arts degree with an international business minor from Clarion University of
Pennsylvania. Following my Bachelor's Degree I attended Miami University of Ohio where I received both
my Masters Degree and my PhD. My areas of concentration in my doctoral work were: Comparative Foreign
Policy, International Relations Theory, Comparative Politics, and East Asian studies.
I feel that it is my job to assist students in their discovery of a much larger world--both
literally and philosophically. The creation of good citizens both within the state and
internationally is terribly important for the continuation of an ordered society. Therefore,
students need to become critical thinkers that question their leaders, and develop the skills to one day
become leaders themselves. If I provide them with the tools, I hope that they will one day
construct whatever reality they can envision for themselves.
A variety of committees including but not limited
to: Academic Activities, Faculty Senate, Cultual Affairs, International
Programs, Advisement and many more.

I am interested in the changing
nature of security away from traditional military security. The
protection of the state against outside threats is becoming more and
more difficult. My second area of interest is East Asian foreign and
trade policy behaviors. Of particular interest to me is the changing
nature of South Korean foreign policy away from its traditional
peninsular focus to a broader regional one.
Sleep, (Right now I have a 1-year old
daughter), Scrapbooking, Needlework, Hiking, and Gardening...did I
mention sleep...lol:)
