Excellence in Teaching Awards |
Each year NGCSU recognizes faculty members for teaching excellence. All the awards recognize Excellence in Teaching in the Classroom, with the exception of the Campus Leadership Development Award.
The categories are:
- Bringing Scholarship into the Classroom
- Classroom Leadership Development
- Campus Leadership Development
- Collaboration
- Developing Critical Thinking
- Incorporating Oral Presentations

- Incorporating Writing
- Innovation
- Promoting Active Learning
- Relating to Students
- Technology Utilization
- Retired "Master Teacher"

To nominate a candidate for the Excellence in Teaching Awards:

Obtain the candidate's permission.

Complete a nomination form along with a 500-word or less explanation of why you are nominating the candidate.
*NOTE: Each candidate must be nominated by two individuals, one of whom must be a student.

Submit the nomination form(.pdf) and explanation (deadline will be announced via email) to:
