JROTC INSTRUCTORS
GUARD/RESERVE
PROGRAM- We have many exciting opportunities that
can benefit your cadets. Opportunities like our Guard and
Reserve program. North Georgia is the only college in the
nation that has an active Guard and Reserve unit drilling
on campus. The cadets who participate in the program receive
full benefits from the Guard or Reserves including, Montgomery
G.I. Bill, drill pay, and Federal Tuition Assistance (which
pays 100% of tuition costs!). Click here
to learn more about the Reserves (for out-of-state students) and here for information about the Georgia Army National Guard (for in-state students).
NGCSU NURSE CORPS- We need your cadets that
are interested in becoming Army Nurses. Army
ROTC is allocated 5 School of Nursing positions each academic
year. Due to the limited number of slots, high academic achievement
is necessary. For more on how to assist your cadets in becoming
Army Nurses, visit our Nurse
Program homepage.
FINANCIAL AID OPPORTUNITIES- In addition
to the Guard and Reserve, NGCSU offers many scholarships to
defray the costs of attending college. These scholarships
include the Georgia Military Scholarship, which is a full-ride
scholarship through the Georgia Army National Guard, the ROTC
Scholarship, which covers all tuition costs, and several different
Leadership Scholarships which can provide up to an additional
$2,000 of financial aid. Click here
to find out more about scholarships and financial aid.
NATIONAL
LEADERSHIP CHALLENGE- We also want your cadets to
come visit us. Once a semester we open the campus to juniors
and seniors across the nation for National Leadership Challenge
Weekend. National Leadership Challenge Weekend is action-packed
event designed to introduce prospective cadets to the beautiful
North Georgia campus and the prestigious Corps of Cadets.
Activities during the weekend include rappelling, one-rope
bridge crossings, Field Leader's Reaction Course, obstacle
course, and much much more. Your Battalion Commander can come
to National Leadership Challenge for free if he/she brings
another cadet from your JROTC program. Contact us at 1-888-413-9366
about sending a group of your cadets to National Leadership
Challenge, or click here
to learn more.
J-LEAD- Each summer, North Georgia hosts
J-LEAD. J-LEAD is an opportunity for your Command Group (Battalion
Commander, Executive Officer, S-3, and Command Sergeant Major)
to develop leadership skills that will help take your entire
JROTC program to the next level! At J-LEAD your cadets will
learn problem-solving techniques, leadership traits, communication
skills, and even plan your training schedule for the next
school year. Click here for more information
about J-LEAD.
PERSONAL VISITS AND TOURS- We want you,
with or without your cadets, to come visit us. You have an
open invitation to our campus. We would love an opportunity
to discuss the options and opportunities that your students
have in the Corps of Cadets at North Georgia College &
State University. To schedule a special tour for yourself
or your cadets, please call 1-888-413-9366.
