COMBATIVES
Defeating
single or multiple attackers, using practical, armed and unarmed
fighting techniques, is the purpose of the Combatives organization.
HISTORY: Originally formed in 1999, Combatives has grown
into an organization of students interested in challenging
themselves mentally as well as physically. This is accomplished
by using a variety of hand-to-hand combat training methods
that can have either a civilian or military application.
The Combatives organization trains exclusively on armed and
unarmed fighting techniques. During all phases of training,
both student instructors and active duty Army advisors are
on hand to provide one on one instruction, demonstrate fighting
techniques and above all, emphasize safety.
Combatives is open to all members of the Corps of Cadets
and civilian resident students as well. Students participating
in Combatives gain a new level of self-confidence in their
abilities to defend themselves and win, if they are ever confronted
by a life-threatening situation.
