The M.P.A. Student Association is the voice for the M.P.A students. Officers elected from the entire student body strive to meet the needs of the M.P.A. students and look out for their best interests. With representatives on the Graduate Student Senate, the M.P.A. students also take part in matters involving the graduate student population here at NGCSU. It is the goal of the M.P.A. Student Association to ensure that its students are kept informed of their rights and privileges on campus while serving as the liaison between M.P.A. students and NGCSU's administration.
Meetings are held when necessary called by the president on the request of a student need or matter of importance to the students brought to the attention of the executive board. The board consists of a president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer who are elected at the beginning of the fall semester each academic year. All M.P.A. students have the opportunity to vote for officers as well as on issues brought before the association members and can ask for a meeting to discuss any matter.
We believe that our alumni are an important aspect of our education. It is our goal to promote an active alumni organization in order to facilitate the development of the students. We hope that the alumni will lend us their experience and expertise in not only matters related to public administration, but in our educational development. Therefore, we welcome alumni involvement and have plans for social events bringing together the alumni and the students who follow their lead.
Please do not hesitate to ask for more information about our organization and the M.P.A program.
Respectfully,
Mary M. Hand, President (2000-2001)
