The tentative schedule, as of October 15, 2007, of M.P.A. courses follows.  The schedule may change as circumstances necessitate.*  Most courses are taught in the evening on the NGCSU campus.  (Note that "Organizational Behavior" and CRJU courses are listed here only if they have been reported to the M.P.A. Program coordinator; contact the appropriate department for more information.)

The Graduate Bulletin identifies POLS 7200 or POLS 7600 as a prerequisite for many of the other courses in the curriculum.  We do not usually enforce those prerequisites.  If you run into a prerequisite problem when you attempt to register on BANNER Web 2000, please call Susan Perry at the Graduate School office (706-864-1543), and she will help you.  However, a student should not enroll in POLS 7890, "Public Management," the capstone course of the program, until he or she has completed or nearly completed his or her other core courses.

If you would like to refer to the university's academic calendar, which shows starting and ending dates of semesters and sessions, deadlines for withdrawing with a passing "W" mark, etc., please visit the Academic Calendar page.

     * Important disclaimer:  Any schedule of courses must be understood to be tentative, in that university authorities reserve the right to cancel courses because of inadequate enrollment, the need to staff other necessary functions, etc.  The schedule that appears below, up to the spring semester of 2009, has been incorporated into the university's schedule of courses, and the university will make an effort to staff them as shown.  The schedule that appears for the summer session of 2009 and beyond should be understood to be a proposal that the M.P.A. Program will make to the Department of Political Science and Criminal Justice when the university extends its course-planning activities to the 2009-2010 academic year; the schedule is thus presented as a very tentative intention.  On a semester-to-semester basis, the best way to ensure that the course you want to take will not be canceled is by pre-registering for it.
