NORTH GEORGIA CHALLENGE

Dahlonega, GA - The North Georgia College & State University cross country team will host the North Georgia Challenge on August 26 at Yahoola Park. The women will run a 3km race and the men will run 5km.

The course is a 2km loop with the majority of the loop going around soccer fields on a flat grass/dirt/gravel pathway. There is an 800m loop that goes into the forest on a gravel pathway with a steep uphill climb of about 150m and then comes down the rest of the distance. The women’s 3km race will begin at 10:30 AM and it will be followed by the men’s 5km race at 11:15 AM.

Awards will be given to the top three individuals in both the men’s and women’s races and to the top freshman in each race. There will also be a team award given to the overall team champions. The top seven overall runners will receive a race tee shirt. The awards ceremony will be conducted 30 minutes after the last runner finishes the race.

Each university may enter an unlimited amount of athletes. List each athlete and provide their ‘class’ with FR for freshman, SOPH for sophomore, JR for junior, SR for senior, and UNA for unattached.

Entries must be received by Tuesday, August 22nd by 12:00 noon. Late entries will not be accepted!

ENTRY FEE: $75.00 per team/$150 men and women.

Make checks payable to NGCSU Foundation and designate Cross Country in lower left section of check. Any changes to the rosters may be done up until one hour prior to the start of the race.
