CROSS COUNTRY RELEASES 2005 SCHEDULE

Dahlonega, Ga. – Second year head coach Chris Busby announced today the 2005 schedule for Saints cross country. Meets at the Georgia Collegiate Championship in Macon, Ga. and a trip to Disney World's Wide World of Sports highlights this seasons five meet schedule.

North Georgia's season kicks off on September 3 with the University of the South Invitational held in Sewanee, Tenn. The Saints will then travel to the Mercer University Atlanta Campus for the Mercer Invitational on the 10th.

The Georgia Collegiate Championships will be held at the Georgia Children's Home in Macon on October 1. North Georgia will look to place strong in the meet as they face the best teams in the state of Georgia.

The Saints will travel to Orlando, Fla. during fall break to take part in the 10th annual Disney Cross Country Classic at Disney's Wide World of Sports. The season concludes on October 22 with the Peach Belt Conference Championship hosted by UNC Pembroke in Lumberton, N.C.

The men's and women's cross country teams began practice yesterday. This past season, the men's team finished third at the NAIA Regional meet and second in the Southern States Athletic Conference. The women's team finished seventh overall at the NAIA Regional and fourth in the SSAC last season.
