LADY SAINTS WIN 6-1 OVER LADY LIONS
Dahlonega, Ga. – North Georgia College & State University won their second consecutive match Tuesday afternoon as they defeated Piedmont College 6-1 in women’s tennis.
The Lady Saints (2-1) picked up their first point of the match after defeating the Lady Lions 2-1 in doubles. In singles action, North Georgia took care of business as they won five-of-six matches. Sophomore Sam Bisset needed three sets to pick up the win in her top seeded game, but defeated Lindsey Hughes 6-1, 6-7 (7-3), 6-2. Sophomore Catie Murphy, freshman Katherine Harrison, sophomore Jenny Bridges, and senior Amey Kearns all won their singles matches in straight sets.
North Georgia will return to action on Friday as they take on Brevard College at 2:00 p.m.
