Dahlonega, Ga. – A 2-1 advantage in doubles gave North Georgia College & State University the 5-4 victory over visiting Georgia Southwestern State University Wednesday afternoon in women’s tennis.

The Lady Saints (4-2) fell in the first doubles flight 4-8, but came back and won the next two matches to take a 2-1 lead. Freshman Katherine Harrison and sophomore Jenny Bridges won their match 8-4 over Rachel Owen and Brittany Hall followed by sophomore Amey Kearnsand senior Crystal Lee taking their match 8-1 over Laura Snyder and Catie Adanson.
The final doubles match decided the winner of the match as both North Georgia and the Lady Canes (3-5) split the singles matches 3-3. Lee won her third match in a row over Ashley Waters 6-3, 6-2 while Kearns and Harrison won their fourth singles matches of the season.
The Lady Saints will be back in action on March 7 as they take on Peach Belt Conference rival Georgia College & State University on the road.
