LADY SAINTS SWEEP LADY TORNADOS FOR FIRST NCAA TENNIS VICTORY

Dahlonega, Ga. – North Georgia College & State University did not loose a set as they defeated Brevard College in women’s tennis for their first victory in NCAA competition.

The Lady Saints (1-1) quickly dispatched the Lady Tornados (0-1) in doubles 8-1, 8-3, 8-1. Sophomores Sam Bissett and Catie Murphy won their doubles in the first flight followed by sophomore Jenny Bridges and freshman Katherine Harrison. Senior Crystal Lee and Amey Kearns dispatched the opponents in the third flight to sweep the doubles. In singles action, Murphy, Bridges, Kearns, and Lee swept their matches 6-0, 6-0.

North Georgia will return to action on the road next week as they take on Piedmont College Tuesday afternoon.
