LADY SAINTS CLAIM VICTORY

Honolulu, HI – Lauren Cappy’s goal in the 15th minute was enough for North Georgia College & State University, as they held on to defeat Hawaii Pacific University 1-0 in the final exhibition match of the Kick ‘N Surf Tournament.

“It was a much better performance,” Lady Saints coach Chris Adams said. “We really dominated play, playing well throughout the match. We created opportunities which speaks well for the future, but we just need to be able to finish.”

The defense played a major role in the victory, allowing only three shots on goal with Mary Canon Williams and Leigha Terry combining for the shutout.

The Lady Saints return to action on August 24th, traveling to Gaffney, S.C. to take on Limestone College.
