NORTH GEORGIA SOCCER SEASON KICKS OFF THIS WEEKEND

Dahlonega, Ga. – North Georgia College & State University begins its first season in NCAA competition today as the Lady Saints soccer team takes on Lenior-Rhyne College this evening in Ashville, N.C.

The Saints take to the field on Saturday in their first match as they take on Belhaven College in Mississippi. Both men's and women's teams kick off the season with long road trips before the Saints return home for a September 7th match against Milligan College at 5:00 p.m. The Lady Saints return home on September 24 as North Georgia hosts its first Peach Belt Conference match.

The North Georgia soccer teams look to have strong fall seasons in their first year in the PBC and NCAA Division II. Both the Saints and Lady Saints came off strong seasons last year and are tabbed to finish seventh and eighth in the PBC.

The Lady Saints will play tonight at 2:00 p.m. in the Mars Hill Tournament and wrap up play on Sunday against Mars Hill at 7:00 p.m. The men kick off against Belhaven at 8:00 p.m. tomorrow evening and then take on William Carey College at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
