NORTH GEORGIA DROPS TWO GAMES IN KAILUA, HAWAII

Kailua, Hawaii – Not able to overcome two half time deficits, the North Georgia College & State University women's basketball team posted two losses while in Hawaii.

In the first game against Montana State Northern, North Georgia led for the first seven minutes and then never regained the lead after falling behind by eleven in the first half. Senior Katie Williamson had a strong showing with 22 points, but North Georgia was never able to get closer than nine points. The Lady Skylights wrapped up the game with an 81-72 win.

In the second game against #25 University of the Cumberlands, the Lady Saints started off behind by as many as twelve but clawed their way back to a one point deficit with 7:50 to go in the first half. The Lady Saints were led by senior Lara Seamon in the first half who had nine points and would take North Georgia into halftime down by six points. The second half was a hard fought battle by both teams attempting to gain and keep the lead. The Lady Saints would go on to out score MSN by three points in the second half, but it wasn't enough to hold off a three point shot made by Alyssa Fuller with :02 seconds to go in regulation. The Lady Patriots slipped out with a 77-74 win.
