NORTH GEORGIA WOMEN'S BASKETBALL JUMPS BACK INTO TOP-25
Lady Saints Ranked 24th in latest poll
Dahlonega, Ga. - After falling out of the top-25 for a week, the North Georgia College & State University women's basketball team is ranked 24th in the latest NAIA ranking announced by officials this week.
The Lady Saints are currently 7-5 overall and 3-1 in the Southern States Athletic Conference after defeating conference opponent Emmanuel College on Monday 60-47. North Georgia is currently on a three game winning streak to finish out 2004 and will play #1 ranked Union University on January 4 at 6:00 p.m. in Dahlonega.
Union received all 12 first place votes and currently has a 13-0 record. The top three remained the same from last week, but Point Loma Nazarene vaulted up to fourth in the nation while The Master's dropped down to eighth with a loss. Brewton-Parker also moved up a spot to number nine and is currently 11-0 overall and 4-0 in the conference.
