THREE LADY SAINTS NAMED TO ALL-AMERICAN ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM

Jackson, Tenn. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced today the 2005 Daktronics-NAIA Division I Women's Basketball All-America Scholar-Athlete team. North Georgia College & State University junior's Jeanine Dorminey, Katie Williamson, and Jenica Johnson were selected to the team.

Dorminey, a 6-2 post from Tifton, Ga., is a junior pursuing a dual degree in Mathematics and Education. This is her second consecutive year receiving All-American All-Academic team honors and Dorminey is a two-time selection to the conference All-Academic team. This past season she once again led the Lady Saints in blocked shots and set the school record this season for most blocks in a career with 161 total swats. She averaged 8.1 ppg and has been ranked in the top-25 in the nation in defensive rebounding.

Williamson, a 5-10 guard from Suwanee, Ga., is a junior pursuing a degree in Pre-Medicine/Biology. This is her second consecutive year receiving All-American All-Academic team honors and Williamson is a two-time selection to the conference All-Academic team. This season she was one of the Lady Saints top scorers, averaging 13.2 ppg and was ranked top in the nation in free throw percentage. At one point this season she completed 30 straight free throws and went 14-for-14 from the line against Brevard College on November 6.

Johnson, a 6-2 post from Lilburn, Ga., is a junior pursuing a degree in Exercise Science. This is her first season receiving the honor after being selected to the Southern States Athletic Conference All-Academic team for her first year as well. Johnson averaged 3.8 ppg for the Lady Saints this past year and added 2.1 rpg. She scored a career high 15 points in a 92-69 win over Savannah College of Art and Design on November 26.

Berry College and NGCSU led the SSAC with three All-Americans on the team. Lee University and Shorter College each had two recipients of the award.

The head coaches of participating NAIA Division I institutions select the Daktronics-NAIA All-American All-Academic team. Recipients must be a junior or above in academic standing and have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
