HUFFMAN NAMED SSAC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Dahlonega, Ga. - North Georgia College & State University guard Megan Huffman was named Southern States Athletic Conference women's basketball player of the week for January 2 through January 8 for her performance on the court last week.

Huffman, a 5-10, freshman guard from Woodstock, Ga., averaged 19.0 ppg, 4.3 rpg, and 3.7 apg in three games in which the Lady Saints went 2-1. She led North Georgia to two big wins on the road against Georgia Southwester State University and Auburn University Montgomery. She scored 20 points against rival AUM and 19 points in the Lady Saints only loss to #1 Union University.

Player's of the Week are selected by the SSAC sports information director, Greg Black , and are nominated by the head coaches and SID's of the conference.
