ANDREA MOSS SELECTED PBC PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Senior righthander went 2-1 in five outings this past week
AUGUSTA, Ga. - North Georgia College & State University righthander Andrea Moss was selected as this week's Peach Belt Conference Pitcher of the Week, released by the conference office this afternoon.
Moss, a senior from Laurens (SC), appeared in five games over the course of seven days. She pitched in 20 innings, and recorded a 2-1 record with 0.90 earned run average. She allowed only two earned runs on 12 hits during the stretch and strruck out a total of 23 batters while walking only four. Her only loss this week came in relief against West Georgia, remaining perfect as a starting pitcher.
Moss pitched a complete-game shutout in a victory over West Georgia at home, and had yet another complete-game victory over Pfeiffer at the Catawba Invitational this weekend. Against Pfieffer, she struck out 10 and allowed one of her two earned runs. She made two more appearances in relief against Barton and Wingate to appear in five of the six North Georgia contests this week.
