NKU BLANKS NORTH GEORGIA TO SWEEP BOTH TOURNAMENT GAMES
Dahlonega, Ga. – North Georgia College & State University went cold at the plate and could not hold off Northern Kentucky University who ran past the Saints 6-0 during their fourth game of the Fire Mountain Classic.

The out ended the first and left the game scoreless. In the bottom half of the inning, the Norse jumped out to an early lead with an RBI single by Sarah King to score Heather Cotner and take a 1-0 lead over the Saints.

The Norse added another run in the fourth inning on an RBI single by Kara Lorenz to score Rachele Vogelpohl and extend the lead to 3-0 on North Georgia.
North Georgia used its half of the sixth inning to rally, but could not capitalize on a bases loaded one out situation and they came away empty handed still trailing 3-0. The bottom of the inning saw NKU string together three hits and push across three runs to take a 6-0 win.
