Game 1
A 13 run fourth inning propelled the Saints to their fourth consecutive regular season conference title and a number one seed in the SSAC Tournament next week. After scoring a single run in the third, freshman starting pitcher Ashley Bramhall (Katy, Texas) set down the first two North Georgia batters in the fourth inning. Senior catcher Katie Thrasher (Arnoldsville, Ga.) began the rally with a single and later scored on a three run triple by freshman centerfielder Brittany Cobb (Oxford, Ga.) to put the Saints up 4-0. Nine runs later, North Georgia had the support it needed for victory.
Seven different batters had at least one hit with three of those knocking in multiple RBI's. Cobb led North Georgia with three RBI's and three runs scored after going 2-for-4 in the game. Senior left fielder Niki Keith (Gainesville, Ga.) went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI and two runs scored. Thrasher also performed well after going 2-for-3 with two runs scored and one RBI.
Senior starting pitcher Beth Willis (Williamson, Ga.) pitched four innings to pick up the win after allowing only two hits with eight strikeouts. Bramhall took the loss going four innings and giving up seven earned runs off of 13 hits.
