NORTH GEORGIA DEFEATS BACONE COLLEGE
ORANGE BEACH, Ala. -- Beth Willis limited Bacone College to just one hit while pitching a complete game shutout in a 3-0 North Georgia College & State University win over Bacon College Friday afternoon in the Gulf Coast Softball Invitational held in Orange Beach, Alabama.
Willis allowed just the one hit in her seven inning outing and struck out 11 batters.
Lara Seamon had three hits including a solo home run and Brittany Barnes went 2-for-3 from the plate with a double, one RBI and a run scored.
Vanessa Rodriguez took the loss for Bacone, giving up three runs on seven hits and striking out nine.
North Georgia went 2-0 in their first two games of pool play, outscoring their opponents 7-0. They will play again tomorrow morning at 11 a.m. against Thomas University.
Bacone College will play again tonight at 7 p.m. against Thomas University.
