Willis, a starting pitcher from Williamson, Ga., adds her All-Region selection to an already impressive list of superlatives this season. She was named conference co-Pitcher of the Year for the second year in a row earlier this season as well as first team All-Conference. Willis finished the regular season with a 1.19 ERA in 188.0 innings of work. She led the conference in strikeouts, wins, and innings pitched and was a three time Player of the Week for the SSAC.
Thompson, a shortstop from Dacula, Ga., leads the team in batting average, RBIs, and home runs with a .433 average, 56 RBIs, and is tied with seven homers. She and Seamon are the only two players on the team that have played in all 56 games this season for the Saints. Thompson is fourth in the conference in batting average, slugging percentage, runs scored, and hits as well as second in RBIs. She was also selected to the first team All-Conference this season and was named SSAC Player of the Week on February 28.
Seamon, a first baseman from Richfield Springs, N.Y., leads the team in home runs with Thompson with seven and is second on the team in RBIs and total bases. She currently is second in the conference in batting average and is ranked in the top five in seven different offensive categories. Seamon has also performed well at first base, making a team high 279 put outs with 17 assists and committing only four errors for a fielding percentage of .987. She was named first team All-Conference along with Willis and Thompson.
The members of the All-Region team will go on to the national ballot for the All-American team that will be announced at the end of the NAIA National Tournament.
