SAINTS REMAIN EIGHTH IN SOFTBALL RANKINGS
Dahlonega, Ga. – In a quiet week for North Georgia College & State University softball, the Saints remained ranked eighth in the NAIA National coaches poll this week.
The Saints (40-13) took the week off after winning their third consecutive conference tournament championship. The North Georgia ladies finished up their finals last week and the four seniors prepared for their final days at NGCSU. The Saints are also prepping for the NAIA Region XIII Tournament in Orange Beach, Ala. that begins next week.
The rankings were also quiet this past week as only one team slipped out of the top 10. Thomas University remained the number one team in the nation with a 40-5 record and 10 first place votes. Union University was the lone team to fall out of the rankings as they went 3-3 last week and slipped to 16th. Lee University also stayed put this week as they kept their spot at 17th in the poll.
