FRANCIS MARION SWEEPS NORTH GEORGIA
Saints season ends, Lady Saints play on Monday against Spelman

FLORENCE, S.C. – The nationally ranked Francis Marion University men’s and women’s tennis teams both earned Peach Belt Conference wins with 9-0 blankings of North Georgia College & State University, Friday afternoon (April 13) on the Kassab Courts.

The 19th-ranked Patriot women (12-5, 5-4) lost only eight games en route to their fifth 9-0 victory in the past six matches.  North Georgia drops to 4-17 overall and 1-10 in the PBC.

The 25th-ranked FMU men (8-6, 3-4) lost only 11 games while defeating a short-handed Saints squad (4-15, 0-9) that brought only four players.

Both FMU squads will play at Lander University, Saturday at 11 a.m., before returning home to host Armstrong Atlantic State University on Monday at 2 p.m.
