SAINTS FALL TO AUGUSTA STATE
Eastwood and Carballal claim victory at #2 doubles

Augusta, GA – The doubles team of Jacob Eastwood and Gustavo Carballal picked up the lone point for North Georgia College & State Univeristy, as they Saints fell to Augusta State 8-1 in Peach Belt Conference tennis action Monday afternoon.

Eastwood and Carballal defeated the Augusta State duo of Arthur Figuerio and Wu Ferraz at #2 doubles, 8-6, to pick up the victory.

In other doubles action, the #1 doubles team of Samuel Moore and Cornelis Bal lost 8-4 while the #3 team of Vlad Lumezeanu and William Davis were defeated by Augusta State's Victor Meza and Sergi Mullor, 8-0.

The Saints lost all six singles matches but had impressive showings at #3 and at #5. In the #3 singles, Eastwood was upended by Meza 6-3, 7-6. While at #5, Lumezeanu was defeated by Augusta State's Igor Vasconcellos 7-5, 6-3.

North Georgia (0-1, 0-1 PBC) returns to action Wednesday afternoon, traveling to Newberry College.
