BREVARD PLAYS NORTH GEORGIA TO A 0-0 TIE
Brevard, N.C. – North Georgia College & State University out-shot Brevard College 14-4, but neither team could net a goal before the game ended in a 0-0 tie.
The match was highlighted by strong defense and rough play. A total of 37 fouls and five yellow cards were handed out in the match. For the Saints (1-0-1), sophomore forward Kelvon Morris had three shots while sophomore goalkeeper Chapin LaChance made two saves.
Freshman goalkeeper Matt Quellette was strong between the posts for the Tornados (1-0-2) as he tallied six saves. BC was limited to two corner kicks with North Georgia only taking three.
The Saints and NGCSU will host their first home NCAA contest on Wednesday as North Georgia welcomes Milligan College for a region match at 5:00 p.m. out at the NGCSU Soccer Complex.
