No. 25 MONTEVALLO DEFEATS NORTH GEORGIA 2-0

Montevallo, Ala.- Glenn Murphy and Tomas Fox scored goals, and Andy Hall collected two assists to lead the University of Montevallo to a 2-0 victory over North Georgia College & State University, in a non-conference men's soccer match at Varsity Field on Tuesday.

Raven Keet collected 12 saves in net, and recorded his seventh shutout of the season, and earned his 22nd career shutout victory.

Murphy scored his second goal of the season for the game-winning goal with assists from Hall and Jonathan Maloney in the 17th minute. In the second half, Hall set up a free kick, and sent the ball into the box. Fox headed in his second goal of the season in the 69th minute of play.

UM held a slight advantage in shots, 19-16. Murphy and James Ward collected four shots each.

UM (9-3-2) will travel to the University of West Florida for a Gulf South Conference match Sunday afternoon at 5 p.m.
