Eason will take over for Chris Adams who will remain the head women's soccer coach for North Georgia. Adams guided both the men's and women's soccer programs for the past two seasons to a combined record of 39-33-6 overall and was named conference Coach of the Year for men's soccer this past season.
Dunn said of the hiring, “With our move into the NCAA, the athletic department felt the desire to commit individual coaches for each sport.” He added, “We are very excited to have Todd. His knowledge and experience are what we need to continue the success of the men's soccer program.”
"I am excited about this opportunity that Coach Dunn has given me and I hope to continue the rich tradition of this program and University,” said Eason of his new position. “It is an honor for me to be working at this University and with this soccer program that has accomplished a lot in the past few years and I look forward to picking up where Coach Adams left off."
Eason comes to North Georgia from Southern Wesleyan University where he has coached for three years. While working for Southern Wesleyan University, he helped the Lady Warriors reach the GACC final four and the finals at the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Regional. Eason also received 2003 GACC Soccer Coach of the Year as well as GACC Women's Sports Coach of the Year for his work.
Prior to working at SWU, Eason was the inaugural women's soccer coach of the Lady Eagles at Asbury College. |
