Causey, a 6-0 guard from Gainesville, Ga., had a very happy holiday as he averaged 23.7 points per game in three wins over the break. The first two-time player of the week this year, he began with a 30-point, 10-assist performance in the Saints' 114-93 conference win at UNC Pembroke. He followed that up with 23 points and six assists against Maryville along with 18 points, five rebounds, and three steals against Menlo at the Bahamas Sunshine Shootout, where he was named tournament MVP. For the period, he averaged six assists, 3.7 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game. Causey currently leads the PBC in scoring with 21.3 ppg and is tied for first in assists with six per game.
Causey and the 6-2 Saints will be back in action tomorrow night as they take on Lander University in Greenwood, SC. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. |
