SOUTHERN WESLEYAN HANDED
OVERTIME LOSS FROM NORTH GEORGIA

Central, SC.— Jerans Rapley hit two free throws with less than two seconds remaining in regulation for Southern Wesleyan but it was not enough as North Georgia escaped Tysinger Gym with big conference road win 93-88 in overtime.

Mark Causey led the Saints with 18 points and Canaan Brown added 17 in the win for North Georgia as they improve to 11-5 overall and 6-2 in the SSAC.

Jerans Rapley had 22 points for Southern Wesleyan and Marcus Bryson added 19 points and 24 rebounds in the loss as SWU drops to 5-9 overall and 2-7 in the SSAC. Marshall Jenkins added 18 for the Warriors and Dealto Marshall posted 11 points and 11 rebounds on the night.

North Georgia shot just under 50% from the field and SWU was right on that mark as well. The Warriors outrebounded NGC 45 to 36, much in part to Bryson's stellar performance on the boards.

The Warriors will travel to Rome, Georgia on Saturday for a 4:00pm tipoff against conference foe Shorter College. The Saints return to action this Saturday against Brewton-Parker College in a game scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
