Tech Blows 17 Point Lead in Loss

Klamath Falls, Oregon - North Georgia College & State University outscored Oregon Tech by 18 in the second half on the way to an 83-75 upset of the Hustlin Owls in day two of the Cell Tech/Midland Empire Classic.

The Saints (4-1) overcame a 17 point OIT first-half lead as Mark Trust and the Causey brothers (Matt and Mark) exploded from inside and outside in the second half. Trust had a game high 28 points while Mark Causey chipped in with 19 and Matt with 11. Ryan Franklin kept the Saints in the game in the first half with 11 of his 12 points but was plagued by foul trouble.

Oregon Tech (2-2) built the first half 17 point lead as Levell Hesia tossed in 14 of his 22 counters. In the second half Alex Carlson was the only player outside of Hesia that could score. Carlson dumped in 15 of his team-high 24 points in the second stanza.

OIT got a combined 20 points in the first half from Danny Mills, Mike Nunes and Andre Lawrence, but the threesome tallied a measly five counters in the second half.
