CASCADE UPENDS NORTH GEORGIA 91-87

Klamath Falls, Oregon - Cascade College (4-1) picked up a huge win defeating North Georgia (4-2) Saturday afternoon 91-87 on the final day of the Cell Tech/Midland Empire/Ohio Casualty Classic.

Jared Alsup scored a game high 31 points for the Thunderbirds while Mark Causey led the Saints with 23 counters. Cascade guard Josh Garrett dished out a game high 12 assists to run his tournament leading three game total to 37. Cascade raced to a 35-14 lead midway thru the first half and took a 13 point lead to the locker room at the break.

North Georgia opened the second half in a press which forced Cascade into numerous bad passes allowing the Saints to tie the game at 64-all with 11:34 remaining; however Cascade would go on an 15-2 run for a 79-66 lead. Again, North Georgia put on the press and cut the lead to 87-84 but that was as close as they come before falling 91-87.
