NORTH GEORGIA BASKETBALL LISTED IN LATEST NAIA STATISTICS
Dahlonega, Ga. - North Georgia College & State University men's and women's basketball teams are listed among the leaders in the latest statistics announced this week.
Junior guard Katie Williamson (Suwanee, Ga.) is ranked second in free throw percentage (89.5%) and junior forward Jeanine Dorminey (Tifton, Ga.) moved up four spots and is ranked eighth in blocks (2.00 bpg). As a team, the Lady Saints are ranked in the top-20 in ten different statistical categories as a team. North Georgia is ranked second in free throws (77.0%), fourth in blocks (4.93 bpg), and fifth in total rebounding defense (28.25) and defensive rebounds (28.25 rpg). The Lady Saints are also ranked 10 th in defensive field goal percentage (36.2%) and total rebounding offense (41.43), T-12 th in rebounding margin (+7.18), 17 th in field goal percentage (44.6%), 18 th in scoring (75.36 ppg), and T-19 th in scoring margin (+12.25).
On the men's side, sophomore guard Matt Causey (Gainesville, Ga.) remained second in the nation in assists (6.97 apg), fourth in scoring (22.79 ppg), and 10th in free throw percentage (85.6%). Sophomore forward Mark Trust (Winder, Ga.) is also listed as T-19 th in defensive rebounds (5.52 rpg). As a team, the Saints are now ranked second in the nation in scoring (91.76 ppg), sixth in defensive rebounds (26.45 rpg), and ninth in free throw percentage (73.9%). North Georgia is also ranked 12 th in field goal percentage (49.6%), 14 th in assist-to-turnover ratio (+1.15), 15 th in blocks (3.62 bpg), and 20 th in total rebounding offense (37.79).
Last night, the Lady Saints wrapped up yet another conference championship as they defeated Brewton-Parker College 60-53. The men remained in second place in the conference after defeating the Barons' 79-75 and will play their final regular season game on Monday against Faulkner University at 7:30 p.m.
