NORTH GEORGIA BASKETBALL LISTED IN LATEST NAIA STATISTICS
Katie Williamson Ranked First in Free Throws

Dahlonega, Ga. - North Georgia College & State University men's and women's basketball teams are listed among the leaders in the latest statistics announced this week.

For the women's team, junior guard Katie Williamson (Suwanee, Ga.) continues to be ranked first in free throws. Williamson is currently shooting 92.0% (104-113) from the charity stripe. After scoring 20 or more points in three straight games, senior forward Brandi Owen (Cornelia, Ga.) is now ranked 18 th (17.62 ppg) in scoring. Junior forward Jeanine Dorminey (Tifton, Ga.) is ranked 14th in blocks (1.67 bpg). As a team, the Lady Saints lead the nation in free throw percentage (76.6%) and are sixth in defensive rebounds per game (27.81 rpg). North Georgia is also tied for eighth in blocks (4.29 bpg), 12 th in defensive field goal percentage (36.3%), 13 th in field goal percentage (45.2%), 16 th in total rebounding margin (+6.14), 17 th in scoring (74.81 ppg), and 19 th in total rebounding offense (40.95).

On the men's side, sophomore guard Matt Causey(Gainesville, Ga.) jumped a spot in assists and scoring. Causey is currently ranked fourth in the nation in assists (6.59 apg) and fifth in scoring (21.50 ppg) after scoring 35 points or more in three straight games. He is also ranked 14 th in free throw percentage (84.0%). Sophomore forward Mark Trust(Winder, Ga.) is now ranked 20 th in blocks (1.55 bpg). The Saints are third in the nation in scoring (91.86 ppg), tied for seventh in defensive rebounds (26.73 rpg), 10 th in free throw percentage (73.7%), 11 th in field goal percentage (50.0%), and 20 th in turnover margin (+2.91).

Tonight the #14 Lady Saints and #21 Saints host Berry College in a key Southern States Athletic Conference match-up for both squads. It is also Spirit Night for NGCSU with the women's game tip-off scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
