NORTH GEORGIA BASKETBALL LISTED IN LATEST NAIA STATISTICS
Dahlonega, Ga. - North Georgia College & State University men's and women's basketball teams are listed among the leaders in the latest statistics announced this week.
For the women's team, junior guard Katie Williamson (Suwanee, Ga.) is ranked number one in free throw percentage, currently shooting 92.6 from the line. Due to a statistical error earlier this season, junior forward Jeanine Dorminey (Tifton, Ga.) is now ranked 13 th in blocks (1.72 bpg). She is also listed 20th in defensive rebounds per game (5.67 rpg). As a team, the Lady Saints are sixth in the nation in free throw percentage (75.7%) and defensive rebounds (28.11 rpg). North Georgia is also ranked ninth in blocks (4.00 bpg), T-11 th in field goal defense (36.0%), T-12 th in field goal percentage (45.4%), T-16 th in scoring (74.52 ppg), and 18 th in total offensive rebounds (41.16 rpg) and rebounding margin (+5.9).
On the men's side, sophomore guard Matt Causey (Gainesville, Ga.) is moved up in three statistical categories. He is fifth in the nation in assists (6.33 apg), eighth in free throw percentage (87.0%), and 14th in scoring (19.56 ppg). Sophomore forward Mark Trust (Winder, Ga.) moved up two positions and is ranked 16 th in blocks (1.61 bpg). Junior guard Mark Causey (Gainesville, Ga.) is 20th in steals with 2.17 steals per game. The Saints are ranked fourth in free throw percentage (76.4%) and fifth as a team in scoring (98.21 ppg). North Georgia is 12 th in field goal percentage (49.7%) and 13 th in defensive rebounds (26.26 rpg) and rebounding margin (+26.26)
This week the top-25 ranked Saints and Lady Saints will host Reinhardt College on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and then will travel to Southern Polytechnic State University on Saturday to play the Hornets at 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
