NGCSU CELEBRATES FINAL BASKETBALL GAME AS NAIA MEMBER
Dunks, Hot Dogs, Cheerleaders and More as Saints Basketball Says Goodbye to NAIA
Dahlonega, Ga. – Come celebrate o n Monday night in Memorial Gymnasium, as North Georgia College & State University plays its final regular season basketball game at home against Faulkner University.
The 25 th ranked Saints will use their high-powered offense to headline the show. Second year head coach Chris Faulkner looks to lead the North Georgia men to their first NAIA National Tournament appearance in nine years. The Saints are also looking to wrap-up second place in the conference regular season, their highest finish in the past five years!
NGCSU will also host a halftime extravaganza as the Dance Team lights up the floor for one final show this year, Eric Bishop gives a high-flying dunk exhibition, and the Corp of Cadets looks to see which company has the biggest appetite!
The North Georgia Cheerleaders and Dance Team seniors will be honored before the game and the Dance Team will get the crowd charged up at halftime with a performance.
Bishop is the brother of Saints senior forward Chris Bishop (Chatsworth, Ga.) and is a former Atlantic Coast Conference and NCAA National Champion high jumper from the University of North Carolina. Performing his jaw dropping dunks all over the southeast, Bishop will wow fans during his halftime display.
Wrapping up the halftime activities will be a hot dog eating contest hosted by the NGCSU Corp of Cadets. Each company will choose a member from its ranks to see which company can pack away the most hot dogs in one minute. At stake, bragging rights and Corp privileges for the company with the biggest appetite.
Make sure you catch all of the on-court action this Monday as North Georgia closes out its NAIA career with a bang! Tip-off is at 8:00 p.m. so make sure to get there early for the best basketball action in Georgia!
