SAINTS SLIP TO #25 IN NAIA POLL
Dahlonega, Ga. – After a split this past week, the North Georgia College & State University men's basketball team fell three spots to #25 in the latest NAIA rankings released yesterday.
This past week, the Saints lost at home to Georgia Southwestern State University and won at home against Auburn University Montgomery. With the win over North Georgia, the Hurricanes received three votes in this week's poll. The Saints will look to move up in the polls before the final poll is released in three weeks.
After losing to Brewton-Parker College 64-62 in overtime last week, Southern Polytechnic fell out of the top spot to third. Mountain State, who had been number one for four weeks previously, jumped back to the top of the poll after a one-week absence. Linsey Wilson moved up from fourth to second and received one vote for first place.
McKendree made the largest move of the week, as they slipped from the 10 th spot to unranked and receiving only eight votes. Cumberland College also made a slip as they fell from ninth to 16 th . Teams did make jumps in poll though, as three unranked teams took the 18, 19, and 20 spots and Westminster jumped from 21 st to 12th .
