CAUSEY AND DAVID NAMED TO ALL-AMERICAN ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM

Olathe, Kan. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced today the 2005 Daktronics-NAIA Division I Men's Basketball All-America Scholar-Athlete team. North Georgia College & State University junior's Dustin David and Mark Causey were selected to the team.

David, a 6-7 forward from Nicholson, Ga., is a junior pursuing a degree in Accounting. This is his first season receiving the honor after being selected to the Southern States Athletic Conference All-Academic team for his first season as well. David averaged 7.6 ppg in 25 games for the Saints. He scored a career high 21 points against Tennessee Temple on January 3 and averaged 19.4 minutes-per-game.

Causey, a 6-4 forward from Gainesville, Ga., is a junior pursuing a degree in Biology. This is his first season receiving the honor after being selected to the Southern States Athletic Conference All-Academic team for his first season. This year, Causey averaged 14.1 ppg for the Saints and led the team with 63 steals. He scored a career high 29 points against Emmanuel College on December 13 and was also ranked nationally in steals for part of the season.

NGCSU led the SSAC with two All-Americans on the team. Southern Polytechnic State University had one selection on this year's team.

The head coaches of participating NAIA Division I institutions select the Daktronics-NAIA All-American All-Academic team. Recipients must be a junior or above in academic standing and have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
