DAHLONEGA, Ga. – North Georgia College & State University announced that Jason Pruitt has been named Academic Advisor and Compliance Officer for the department of athletics here Monday morning.

Pruitt has served as the Registrar of North Georgia College & State University since June 1, 2001, and in addition to his role as the Registrar, Jason's service to North Georgia includes the roles of recruiter, admissions counselor and Assistant Registrar.

In his new role, Jason will be handling the academic advising for the department of athletics and all of their student-athletes, as well as taking over a bulk of the NCAA compliance/eligibility processing.

Pruitt's appointment takes place July 1.
