NORTH GEORGIA 10TH AFTER FALL SEASON IN PBC COMMISSIONER'S CUP

Augusta, Ga. – North Georgia College & State University is ranked 10th overall in the competition for the Peach Belt Conference Commissioner's Cup at the conclusion of the fall sports.

North Georgia finished third in men's soccer and fifth in men's cross country in its first season in the PBC. NGCSU also placed seventh in women's cross country and eighth in women's soccer for 10 points and a .323 percentage.

Clayton State University currently leads the race for the Cup with a .919 percentage. The Lakers finished first in both men's cross country and men's soccer while tying for first in women's soccer in the regular season. Clayton State also finished third in women's cross country. Columbus State University is second with a .895 rating after winning the women's cross country title and tying for first in women's soccer. Armstrong Atlantic State University is third at .875 after winning the volleyball championship and finishing third in the women's soccer standings.

UNC Pembroke is fourth in the rankings with a .711 percentage after finishing second in women's cross county. USC Upstate stands in fifth place overall with a rating of .565 after taking five points in men's soccer and five in volleyball. Lander University took fourth in women's cross country and is in sixth place overall in the standings with a .532 rating. Rounding out the final five are Augusta State University in seventh place, GC&SU in eighth, USC Aiken in ninth, North Georgia in 10th, and Francis Marion in 11th.

The PBC Commissioner's Cup is presented annually to the member athletic department that earns the highest overall rating based on final regular season standings. Ratings are determined by taking the maximum number of points available to each school, depending on how many sports each has, and dividing by the number of points won, based on conference finish through the regular season (except golf and cross country).
