Dr. Mark Spraker is in his sixth year as faculty athletic representative for North Georgia.
Dr. Spraker graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 1988 with a dual major in Mathematics and Physics and a minor in Computer Science. He received his M.S. (1990) and Ph.D. (1995) from Indiana University in nuclear physics. Dr. Spraker then accepted a post-doctoral research position in nuclear astrophysics at Duke University.
Dr. Spraker has been a member of the faculty here at North Georgia since 1997 and he and Dr. Richard M. Prior currently share a research grant from the U.S. Department of Energy. Dr. Spraker and his wife Ivy have been married for 14 years and they have two children, Benjamin (4) and Piper (18 months). |
